What an active can do, and what it can’t. No superlatives, with the INCI name to compare with the packaging.
- L-ascorbic acid
- Brightening, antioxidant, collagen stimulation. Gold standard at 10–20 % in a stable anhydrous formulation (pH < 3.5).
- Retinol
- Vitamin A derivative. Regulates cell division, promotes collagen formation. Careful introduction required.
- Hyaluronic acid
- Polysaccharide with high water-binding capacity. Different molecular weights for depth of action.
- Niacinamide
- Vitamin B3. Pore refinement, sebum regulation, strengthening of the skin barrier.
- Peptides
- Signal molecules that stimulate collagen synthesis and cell communication.
- PDRN
- Salmon DNA fragments. Regeneration, wound healing, anti-inflammation.
- Ferulic acid
- Stabiliser for vitamin C. Synergistic antioxidant action.
